Who we are
The Sovereign Atelier™ is operated by La Maison Hii ("we", "us", "our"). La Maison Hii is the data controller responsible for personal information processed through this website and the related services.
For any privacy-related question, contact us at hello@thesovereignatelier.com.
Information we collect
- Account data — name, email address, password hash, and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google or Apple sign-in IDs).
- Profile and workspace content — information you enter into the Atelier tools, including brand context, prompts, drafts, and saved outputs.
- Order and billing data — limited transaction details (order ID, plan, status, customer email) returned to us by Paddle. We do not receive or store full payment card details.
- Support and correspondence — messages you send us by email or through the app.
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, log timestamps, and basic usage events used to operate, secure and improve the service.
- Cookies and similar technologies — strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and approve access to The Sovereign Atelier™.
- To provide the Atelier tools, store your workspaces, and deliver AI-generated outputs you request.
- To process purchases and subscriptions via our Merchant of Record, Paddle, and to grant or revoke entitlements based on payment status.
- To respond to enquiries, provide customer support, and send service-related notifications.
- To monitor, secure, debug, and improve the service and to prevent fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Legal bases for processing
Where the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or equivalent laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the account, services, and purchases you request.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the service, prevent fraud, improve our products, and communicate about your account.
- Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and other regulatory requirements.
- Consent — where required, for optional communications; you may withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share information with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the following categories of recipients:
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, handles tax collection, issues invoices, and manages refunds under its own buyer terms.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — to host the website, database, and authentication services.
- AI processing providers — the model providers behind our AI Gateway, used to generate the outputs you request within the Atelier tools.
- Email and notification providers — to send transactional emails and account notifications.
- Professional advisers — accountants, auditors, and lawyers, where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
Where personal data is transferred outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Account and workspace data are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes and legal obligations. Order and tax records are retained for the period required by law (typically up to 7 years). Once no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Request data portability.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thesovereignatelier.com. We respond within one month.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage, access controls, role-based permissions, and authenticated APIs. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to protect your information and notify you if a breach materially affects your rights.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, secure the service, and remember session state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break sign-in and core features.
Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
